The Aquário is more than just a restaurant – it’s a true institution at Praia do Cabedelo. After a relaxing day on the water or at the beach, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a good meal and bring the day to a pleasant close.

Here you’ll find authentic and delicious Portuguese food at very fair prices, served in a beautifully designed and welcoming interior. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, making it a great spot to unwind.

My personal favourite is the Francesinha – a hearty sandwich packed with layers of meat, topped with melted cheese and smothered in a rich, slightly spicy sauce. It’s usually served with chips and is both filling and full of flavour.

The Aquário is not just a restaurant – it’s also home to the Vianalocals Surfshop, which is part of the Duotone Pro Center Viana do Castelo. So while you’re waiting for your food, there’s time to browse for your next piece of gear or accessories.

All in all, the Aquário is a place I keep coming back to – a laid-back spot that perfectly rounds off a great day.
